I dare to say it was one of the most surprising places of the whole trip. Unlike other tourist sites such as The Grand Canyon or Yosemite, we have never heard of Bryce until we started planning our West Coast America trip in depth. After our visit, we could not help but wonder how Bryce Canyon National Park remains unknown for most people, especially outside of the US. Visiting Bryce Canyon was not in the initial plan of our 10-day West Coast USA trip. We have a brand new generator and they already have set times. He comes back knocks on our door and long story short, apparently there is a decibel limit on generators. So he leaves we get our campsite set up and get the cooler going to cool down our refrigerator after the 11 hour drive from Yellowstone. I finally told him we r still in the process of putting in, Ugh. I’m in the back still guiding my husband when this ranger comes up and starts saying no wheels on the dirt( mind u it was an extra small site) (And neighbor next to us was on dirt, they even admitted that) but we only have an over cab camper so no worries there but then he goes on to say we can’t be sticking out. Only there about 5 min, still deciding if we want to drop the camper or not. We stayed here for 2 nights, just came from Yellowstone and Zion, and didn’t have any problems, will be giving them a great review! Within our first 40 min to this campground we were harassed by a park ranger. It is also first-come first-served and has 103 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs. North Campground is also in Bryce Canyon National Park. In addition to the campgrounds, facilities include the historic Bryce Canyon Lodge, visitor center, shuttle bus service, restaurants, gift shots, picnic areas, a laundry, showers and public WiFi. There are also ranger programs, astronomy programs, a geology festival each July, and snowshoeing and cross-country skiing during the winter. Outdoor recreation includes hiking, biking, backcountry hiking/camping, horseback riding, stargazing, picnicking and viewing nature. There’s also a scenic drive that traverses the entire length of the main park road (18 miles).

There are approximately 60 miles of trails to explore throughout the park. Bryce Canyon Sunset – Area Recreationīryce Canyon National Park features the largest collection of hoodoos in the world. A dump station ($) is also located nearby. Firewood, ice, food and supplies are available at the store. A general store, laundry and showers are within a mile of the campground. The campsites have a table, fire ring and grate. Loop B (252-271) and Loop C (272-310) can accommodate tents, trailers and smalls RVs (less than 20 feet), but no generators are allowed.īryce Canyon Sunset Campground has drinking water and flush toilets.

Generators are allowed from 8am to 8pm in Loop A. The campground is set up in 3 loops (A, B & C). Loop A (campsites 200-249) is for trailers and RVs only (greater than 20 feet). Bryce Canyon Sunset Campground has 99 campsites and is close to park’s popular hiking trails.
